Lochearnhead Events
At Lochearnhead
Highland Games we run the traditional range of heavyweight
events in both local and open competitions. Heavy and light
hammers, caber tossing, shot-putt, weight over the bar,
tug-o-war as well as a number of track and field events,
including a gruelling hill race. Lochearnhead Highland Games
still holds records for Olympic athletes such as Geoff Capes.
Traditional highland dancing and a range of piping events run throughout the afternoon, often with an opportunity to see world champion competitors in the most picturesque surroundings imaginable. There are also fun events for children and the more adventurous adults.
A number of trade stands are also present selling a range of confectionery, clothing and craft goods. On-field food and bar facilities are provided.
A full list of events will appear on the Lochearnhead events page once confirmed
